Gain Construction Work Experience for Certified Construction Manager Status

Applicants for the CCM designation with the Construction Management Certification Institute (CMCI) must meet the following requirements:

  • Earn a 2-year degree and complete some CCM training
  • Complete 48 months of responsible-in-charge construction experience
  • The experience can be before, during, or after earning a degree
  • The 48 months of work must be documented by the applicant
  • All 48 months of work must also be documented by the applicant’s supervisor

Before or after completion of the required period, the CCM applicant must apply for the exam and accreditation.
