Students,
As we prepare for the new term, we want you to be ready on day 1 to hit the ground running. In order to accomplish that, we will have two days available for you to pick up your schedule with books and materials needed to be successful in class. Those days will be:
Wednesday, May 20 | 10:00am-1:00pm | 4:00pm-7:00pm |
Thursday, May 21 | 10:00am-1:00pm | 4:00pm-7:00pm |
We ask that everyone enter the first driveway to the school where you will be directed behind the Martin building and around to the bookstore. Staff will be set up to hand you your schedule and assist you with getting your books without you having to leave your vehicle. We will also use this time to complete any outstanding financial aid documents to ensure your funding stays current and approved through this term.
Governor John Bel Edwards held a press conference today where he announced that Louisiana will be moving into phase 1 of reopening starting Friday. Unfortunately for ITI, this phase will not allow us to safely return to campus by the start of this term. We will begin the Summer 2020 term on May 27 in a remote learning format similar to how we ended the last term. As soon as it is safe to return to campus we will move in that direction. Be on the lookout for more information from Mr. Worthy, the School Director.
We have also been going through the process of applying for and receiving CARES Act funding for which a portion of that money is allocated towards active students who qualify for financial aid. Once we have obtained the means to distribute that money, we will set up a distribution method for you.
Please plan to attend one of these time slots as we have brought in staff for the sole purpose of serving you. We also ask that you wear a mask as you drive through in order to protect yourself and the staff serving you.
